  1. Hi,

I'm a terrible proofreader. I'll probably miss a few commas, double words or grammatical problems in this post. I've been looking into online proofreading programs, like Grammarly or whitesmoke. It would be ideal if we had some such program in Storyist to just check beyond spelling. If that can't be done, does anyone use any of the online programs?

I know it's best to have someone else proof it, and to go through it yourself - out loud, backwards, etc. But I'd like to get it as clean as I can before I give it to a human.

  2. Hi,

I have converted my storyist manuscript to an epub file (although I know before I've been able to convert to a mobi file). The problem is, even though I have section breaks in my storyist manuscript, they get pushed together on the Kindle. So when you're reading it the sections all run together.

Even with the hashtag, all I get is one line of a hashtag, which is even more cluttered on the Kindle page.

Is there a way around this?

  3. I imported a file from dropbox and worked on it on my laptop for a week or so. Now I want to send it back to desktop, but when I try to save it, I get this message:

The document XXXX could not be saved. The file doesn't exist.

Of course it exists. I've been working on it for a week! Other than cutting and pasting to word, any suggestions on how to save this sucker?

  4. I've just started a project on Storyist, and want to work on both my desktop and my notebook. I can share via Cloud or Dropbox, but I keep downloading the same file v.1 v.2 etc. It's getting very confusing as they go back and forth to keep track of which is the most recent version. Any help on syncing manuscripts would be greatly appreciated.
