  1. I am writing a graphic novel in script format using text editors on my Mac and other computers Storyist on my iPhone. None of the text editors remove the three === signs which is standard fountain syntax for page breaks, however when I open and edit the file in Storyist on iOS, it does delete them. Can this bug be fixed? @SteveSteve
  2. Any update on this? Will there ever be a quick add feature for the index cards on ipad?
  3. Any update on this? Is the iPad app abandoned?
  4. Hey @Steve -- I think I've found a reproducible bug when editing a .fountain file in Storyist on iPad. I can't for the life of me figure out a way to add a new scene heading just using the keyboard. Instead, I have to manually take my hands off the keyboard and click the line type icon and then select scene heading option. This is very unintuitive and breaks writing flow substantially. When working on a standard screenplay file in Storyist, I can keep hitting tab until the icon cycles past transition back to scene heading. This feature doesn't work when opening a fountain file. Tab cycles from Action to Character to Transition then won't cycle further. Reproducible. Also, in other apps, I can simply put a period in front of a word to make it a scene heading. That would greatly improve writing flow while writing fountain in Storyist. It is part of the standard fountain syntax. Also, specifically while editing a fountain file -- I can't seem to find the STYLEs menu in the three dot menu (as it appears when opening a .story file). When editing fountain, is there a way to globally format scene headings to be BOLD, UNDERLINED, or DOUBLE-SPACED on iPad. Instead, I have to do it every singe time, line by line. Is there a way to do this as a global setting? The formatting panel only seems to work if you highlight a specific line, and even then, it doesn't allow you to update the default style for all scene headings, etc.
  5. I second this. I write graphic novels and this would be very valuable.
  6. In the screenshot it clearly shows the parenthetical pushed to the next page without a character name preceding. Big No No. just like an orphaned action line from a slug line.
  7. Then it's not to screenplay spec. You never have a page starting with a parenthetical without a character name immediately preceding. Same with scene headers and action lines.
  8. Any thoughts/update on this? Seems reproducible no matter the setting (both with scene headers, losing their action lines to the next page and the same with parenthetical splitting off dialogue).
  9. This was all on my Mac version btw. Included screenshots.
  10. This is still an issue in Aug 2021. I have issues where a character name appears at the bottom of the page and yet the dialogue on the next. I have reproducible issues where Dialogue that has a parenthetical after line 1 pushes line 2 to the next page with no character name or CONT'D. I've even seen scene headers where the action line begins on the next page. Another no no. Seems to be wrong programmatically. I've tried playing with the widow/orphan control and the "keep with next paragraph" to no avail. Standard screenplay format never splits dialogue from the character name, nor does it split a second line of dialogue from a parenthetical without a character name. Seems to be a reproducible bug which renders the screenplay format unusable for me. Can this be fixed with a patch?
  11. When using a bluetooth keyboard, I don't see a way (keyboard shortcut?) to add index cards without having to click on the three dot menu, then click add, then click add card, then select card text type. Seems like a lot of hassle that takes you out of the flow of outlining. Could we get a keyboard shortcut for fast adding of a card? Or can the plus be added to the overall top menu bar along with the color coding options? Maybe allow the extended keyboard row to still show when using a bluetooth keyboard? Not sure but it would make it worlds better.
