  1. It would be great to be able to password protect the iPad app. Similar to Textilus Pro.
  2. Hi - I just purchased Storyist for iOS today, am using it on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s. Both work fine, sync well, no problems. I can go my iCloud Drive folder on either one and find the Storyist file folder, along with the files I've put there. However, when I go to my iCloud drive on my MacBook Pro, I cannot see the Storyist folder. I've tried going to iCloud drive via Finder, and also through Safari, logging in to my iCloud account. I've logged out and back in multiple times; started and re-started my MacBook multiple times; and added an item several times in an attempt to "force" a sync. But none of these have worked. I can still see and access the Storyist folder on my iOS devices; I still cannot see it nor access it on my MacBook. (Note - on my MacBook, I am using the trial version of Storyist - I'm in the first day of the 15-day trial. I was trying to decide whether to move to Storyist since Scrivener still does not have an iOS version. So far, I love what I see, but obviously I want and need iCloud sync functionality.) Help please? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I am tempting to convert myself over from Scrivener because of their lack of iOS support. My questions pertains to the OSX application. Is there a way to compile and export the draft (or sections of the draft) directly into PDF form? As a screenwriter I need to send off pdfs of treatments, outlines, and scripts from time to time. Converting to PDF seems like a simple feature and I'm having a hard time understanding why Storyist wouldn't be able to compile and export into PDF. Perhaps I'm missing something? I thought I might just export the sections I needed into MS Word and then save the pdf from there (annoying extra step but not a deal breaker) but the compile feature exports the separate sections into separate files (such as Title Page, etc) (annoying and kind of a deal breaker) I've searched the forums and videos but found no answer. Anyone have a suggestion I've missed? Also. Is there a simple way to do page breaks? Hoping to convert. Help is appreciated!

    DenVog Index Card

Has anyone used DenVog's Index Card (for iPhone or for iPad)? I've heard that Index Card projects can be imported into Scrivener, and I wondered whether or not the same is true of storyist. I have no knowledge of the file formats involved. Just curious. -- Candace

  6. Hi all I'm writing film screenplays, comic books and tv screenplays on final draft. After getting an iPad a friend of mine directed me to Storyist to continue writing when I'm away from my laptop. I've noticed that the app has a template for screenplay (which I'm guessing is for films), novels and I think stage plays but I've also been told that you can create templates or people send you theirs if they're willing. I was wondering though can you create your own or get other templates on the app or just on the desktop version and if you can get it on the iPad app how would you create it/install it? Do you need the desktop version to do it or you can you do it straight though the iPad app itself since I'm not looking to get the desktop version as I'm already using Final Draft. Thank you
