Steakpirate
Is there an easy way to start a new paragraph? When I hit enter twice, it brings up a menu for selecting styles. I've been starting new lines, and then adding a blank line before them in order to accomplish scene changes/time jumps within a chapter, but it seems like there must be a better way. Steve
Hi SP, You could turn off the style selection in the Preferences window so that pressing return in an empty paragraph just creates a new paragraph. If you wanted to leave the style shortcut on, you could instead create a new paragraph using the Control+O shortcut. -Steve

Steakpirate
So, an addendum: this behavior also occurs in the notebook where CTRL + O seems not to have effect.
Steve
Notebook entries shouldn't be any different from manuscripts. The Control+O shortcut is handled by the OS X text system and should work across the application. The only place it wouldn't work would be in story sheet fields that are single line only (like Character names). -Steve
