okpete
I just purchased Storyist to export a number of my screenplays to kindle & ipad, and to replace my out of date Final Draft software. Since my FD version is so old, I imported a RTF of my script into Storyist and then exported that for the Kindle. I'm very pleased by how easy this was and by the results. However, I do have one nagging issue that I can't figure out how to resolve (or if it is even possible). On the Kindle version, there are some page breaks that come directly following a character name, a parenthetical or in the middle of a short dialogue section. Is there any way to format character names and dialogue in Storyist to prevent page breaks like this when exported to the Kindle? (I'm clueless when it comes to html, by the way.) Thanks. Steve
Hi Peter, Unfortunately, Kindle doesn't support widow and orphan control. This is because there is no underlying mechanism in HTML to specify it. -Steve
