djjazzyjess Posted October 21, 2013 Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 I am running Storyist 2.4.2 on my iMac and when I try to update to the newest Storyist 2.4.4 version it downloads and I click "Restart and Relaunch" then it gives me an "Update Error" message that says it cannot update. It also asks if I am running Storyist as a disk image and to contact my system administrator. I'll be honest I'm not very computer-savvy and I've never had this issue with previous Storyist updates. Steve Posted October 21, 2013 Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 Hi djjazzyjess, You're probably running 2.4.2 from the .dmg file, which is a read-only file system. You'll want to first copy Storyist to your Applications folder (and remove the icon from your dock if you've put it there) and then relaunch Storyist.
