John M
I cannot save a file. I get the message: The document “Name” could not be saved. The file doesn’t exist. The file is listed in my Finder file under documents and in a usb back up. I need urgent help because I cannot save the file to any location. I made a rough copy but desperately need to figure out what happened.
Steve
Hi John, Is the file on the hard drive you're running Storyist from, or is it on a network or USB drive that has been ejected? It it's on a removable drive, try reattaching the drive. If it's on your local hard drive, try this: Choose File > Duplicate. Chose File > Save. Save the duplicate under a new name. If neither of these work, let me know and we'll investigate. -Steve
John M
Hi Steve, I don't have Choose File > Duplicate on the menu bar When I click Choose File > Save, I get the same message that the file doesn't exist and cannot be saved. Please call: <omitted> Thanks, John
Steve
Ok. It sounds like you're using Storyist 1 or 2. What version of OS X are you running? -Steve
