Thesaurus/Dictionary Bubbles

1. Thesaurus/Dictionary bubbles

A hotkey-activated bubble that appears with the definition of the highlighted word and synonyms. <facetious>Screw CMD-Tabbing to the apple dictionary! </facetious>

Oh, and the bubble should be pretty. And blue. And shiny. Maybe just functional.

2. Reg'lar Ol' Dicshunarah. (Not as important)

Perhaps a mini-built in dictionary window (not viewable by default), with a small word entry box which displays definitions, even if only pooped out of the built-in OSX dictionary. A cool spinoff/addition to this imaginary feature would be the ability to add your own definitions/ words, be it as defining "Flying" as throwing yourself at the ground and missing, or deciding that the word "Goombleshank" is of particular importance to all of your novels, and that you should always have it's definition at hand.

Short of pretty blue bubbles (which are nice), we still have:

Select word, CTRL-click (or equivalent), select Look Up In Dictionary from pop-up menu.

Which isn't too bad.

We have local word lists in Storyist but being able to add definitions to them would be nice. I use a Note page (I call it "Definitions") for special words and phrases. I also add links where further explanations are necessary. But who knows what plans Steve has for the Storyist dictionary/list.

Yo Ho Ho And A Tray Of Steaks,
