  1. Has highlighting been added? I have yet to find it in the 3.2 Mac version.
  2. My beta Storyist on my iPhone would not load because it said it had expired. I went to Test Flight to update and received an error message because it said the developer's certificate is no longer valid. Uninstalled both and reinstalled Test Flight first so I could re-download the Beta Storyist. I'm still getting the same error message that the developer's certificate is no longer valid. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there another issue? Jeremy
  3. When I am working on a section and choose "View>as Storyboard" a corkboard screen appears. I can right click on the corkboard and select "New>comment" and a yellow sticky appears. I type notes here but it doesn't appear on the comment inspector pane. This is what I was referring to in my initial post. Am I doing something wrong or is this, as I assumed, not a function yet? Thanks, Jeremy PS, keep up the great work. Every new improvement makes it easier to not look back at Scrivener.
  4. I love the new comments pane and have just a slight modification I like to see in it. Can you have it display the comments created within the storyboard view?
  5. I'm running into a problem with this. I created a new Novel Stylesheet Text File and copy and pasted a large amount of text from an RTF file. In the styles pain on the right I have the following: Chapter Title Header Section Text Separator Section Text Default Style. In another text file, which I feel like I created the same way as above, I have the following: Heading 1 Heading 2 Heading 3 Body Text Default Style I prefer the latter over the former, but am currently unable to change the stylesheet of the imported text to have Headings 1, 2, 3... Any suggestions?
  6. When assigning section sheets when populating the character sheets character development section, I'm running into the problem of the section sheets not being in any particular order in the list and there is not a search function or a sort function. If there is a way to sort this list please let me know. If not, can we have it set up like when I manually add a link utilizing the command L shortcut? Thanks, Jeremy
  7. Thanks for the reply. The option and + at the bottom works, but when I do command-return I get a new text file.
  8. I've searched through the forums but have failed to find a answer that addresses my question... so forgive me if this has already been addressed and direct me to the post. Is there a shortcut key(s) to create new Story Sheets, specifically Scene Sheets? I have moved a project over from Scrivener and creating scene sheets for all those scenes by the "Right Click > New > Story Sheet > Scene Sheet" method is so tedious. Thanks, Jeremy
  9. I meant this to be for the Mac version but landed here by doing a search.
  10. Yes, customizing these sheets would be great. For instance, I would love to be able to have a list like is available in character sheets. Here, you can see every section sheet the selected character is linked to. I would like to be able to have a similar list (or the ability to add or delete lists) for cross-linking between all types of story sheets. For instance, it would be great to see a list of section sheets within the plot point sheets or see a list of section sheets on the setting sheets, etc. Currently I use the section sheets to summarize every scene. On my character sheet I can see a list of "scenes" in which every character is present. If this customizable capability were present on all story sheets it would make it easier to follow a specific plot, character, setting, etc as it appears within the over all story.
  11. Is this possible in the current (3.1.2) Storyist? I am currently trying to find a way to move a Text File from one Storyist File to another. Copy and pasting loses the outline format and also all Index Card notes.
  12. 1. I would like to have this function so when composing a section I can link the section to character sheets, setting sheets, etc. On the flip side I would like to be able to open a character sheet, setting sheet, etc. and be able to see all the sections that particular story sheet is linked to. 2. I imagine using it for reviewing and editing. Due to being a full-time employee and a part-time writer I have to put the writing down for days- weeks at a time. This function would help in reviewing what is already written and get me back to the "zone" of where I was before I had to put it down. I would predominantly use this for characters. It goes without saying each character has his/her own plans. I like to quickly flow through the sections related to a specific character to make sure that all actions/ dialogue for a specific character are staying consistent with what I'm trying to show.
  13. Is it possible for a "links inspector" to be placed in the inspector pane? I'd like to be able to see all links associated with a the section in which I'm currently working.
  14. There's interest for this function here. Also, is it possible to have "link inspector" placed on the right when the "inspector pane" is open? I would like to have all the links connected to a section be viewable when working in a particular section. I will also place this in the request section.
  15. I agree. This looks like something that would be very useful.
  16. Clarification: other than the 8 colors available.
  17. It would be nice to be able to customize the colors of the index cards and comments cards.
  18. I tried this and it only has "Hide Text File Outlines." I clicked this option and then "Show Text File Outlines" was visible. I clicked this and am in the same situation. I ended up adding a new text file "novel template" and copied and pasted the entire document into it. Now it works. Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I was still doing something wrong. Any ideas?
  19. I was unable to locate anything that addressed this topic, so forgive me if I'm rehashing something already discussed. I imported a story I had written in Microsoft Word. When adding the "#"to split sections I noticed the sections were not appearing in the Project Pane. I went to Outline view and it says "Outlining is not enabled for this text file. Go to enclosing folder." I've tried to find ways to enable outlining, but it's not working with me. I'm sure it's a simple fix, any suggestions? Thanks, Jeremy
  20. I know this is not the request section in the forum, but since we're already here, will you consider creating a "plot/story thread" sheet in which we can link sections, scenes, and characters? Just an organization idea. Thanks, Jeremy
  21. Any plans for a capability such as this or any ideas for a work-around?
  22. Here's an example of what I'm trying to do. I have three plot points and 30 sections. I'm attempting to assign "plot point one" to section sheets 1,4,8,13,18,etc. "Plot point two" to section sheets 3,7, 11, 15, etc.
