1) select some text and have a 'convert to comment' shortcut/button.

2) how about a visual timeline tracker for the main plot points where one could organize things. a smart timeline should auto detect and warn when out of sequence but user must be allowed to switch it on/off.

3) it would be nice if you could drag drop the project pane, text pane or index cards for example to change not what they display but where they are displayed from left to right.

4) iPad companion app should work seamlessly with macbook app with dropbox in the middle ie the project should be saved on dropbox not on the macbook and be able to resolve conflicts when one opens it from macbook and ipad at the same time. just like 'my writing nook' ipad application does.

Hi Emile,

1) select some text and have a 'convert to comment' shortcut/button.

Sounds good. I'd also like to enhance the Wiki syntax so that you could type text inline and have it converted to comments. E.g. typing a few opening characters (like "##") followed by text, followed by closing characters ("##") would create a comment.

##Comment text## -> New comment with text "Comment text"

2) how about a visual timeline tracker for the main plot points where one could organize things. a smart timeline should auto detect and warn when out of sequence but user must be allowed to switch it on/off.

As you might imagine, this request comes up quite often. (Timeline, Another timeline request)

3) it would be nice if you could drag drop the project pane, text pane or index cards for example to change not what they display but where they are displayed from left to right.

I'm not sure I follow. Could you provide an example?

Thanks for posting this in its own request. I've responded there.

Hi Steve, about the future functionality for the iPad companion application imagine one could :

a) store the project in dropbox

 access it from the macbook when at home office

c) get up, go to coffee shop with iPad and continue working (getting access to the latest version on dropbox)

d) return home to macbook, continue working on macbook now editing the updated version made with iPad while at coffee shop on the macbook.

If you look at a simple $5 application called 'my writing nook' for iPad you will see what I mean.

Thanks for a great application. Yes the ## text --> comment ## is a good one!

Regards

Emile

PS. I would love to be a beta tester of the iPad application for you. I have 20 years IT experience and love macbook and iPad.

Example: Say the '3 areas one can view' (project tree on left, text view in middle and story board on right) for example were 'free standing windows' one could move them anywhere you want and re-position them freely. I work on a large monitor with macbook on the side so it would be nice if I could move for example the storyboard view over to the macbook monitor on the right while viewing the project pane and text panes on the main screen etc.
