bodsham
Simple question - when I look at a range of scenes on the corkboard and want to edit them all the scenes disappear except the one I'm writing the synopsis for. Is there a way of keeping all the cards in view while I write at the same time? Bit fiddly going backwards and forwards. I did try having the outline in a second window and writing there but that knocks the corkboard back into a single card view some of the time too. (Update - I see you can do this if you right click on the card text area and choose edit. I was double clicking which opens the individual card. Is there a way of editing without reaching for the trackpad?)
Steve
Hi Bodsham, To start editing a card on the cork board without reaching for the trackpad, select the card you want to edit and press Return. -Steve
Steve
More generally, you can stay on the cork board, navigate around, and edit cards using only the keyboard as follows: Switching to Storyboard mode: Command+3. Selecting a card: Tab/Shift Tab or Arrow keys. Selecting multiple cards: Shift+Arrow keys Editing a card: Press return when a card is selected. Ending editing: Esc. Inserting a new card after the current selection: Command+Return. Moving to the enclosing chapter/group: Command+Up Arrow. Moving to a child chapter/group/collage: Select the child and press Command+Down Arrow. With the exception of Command+3 and Command+Return, these are the same shortcuts you'd use in the Finder to move around and edit items. -Steve
