nen1000
Not sure if this was caused by a bug, or by a mistake on my part. Using Storyist 3, I drafted most of a chapter of a new novel. Before turning in (1am; eyes starting to close; possibly a bug in my system not Storyist) I synced this with Storyist on my iPhone & iPad. The following morning, Storyist 3 refused to open the file. It gave me an error message that I'm sure mentioned a 'zip' file. Looking at the Storyist file in Finder, I saw the problem - zero bytes. The same for the copy on dropbox, both the copies on my iDevices. I use syncing via dropbox all the time, and not had this problem before. I was able to recover the file by restoring the previous version on dropbox, so panic averted and nothing lost. I'm quite willing to accept this was caused by something I did; I only raise it here in case there is a bug. If it happens again, I'll pay closer attention to error messages and the like. Steve
Hi nen1000, It could also be that a network error (on your end or at Dropbox) interrupted the sync. OK, I'll keep my eye out for similar reports. -Steve
