  1. Hi Steve,

Sorry for my late response but I'm on a tight time schedule in the hospital.

I followed your advice for the location of the fields. It works good for me. Thank you for your advice.

For the word count field, I would like to try it out. I'll send an email to the support address.

    Have a nice day.

  2. Hi Chris,

thank you for your answer. I checked my version of Storyist. It's 4.2.5, see the attachment.

Unfortunately my shift schedule for the next week is very tight. I'll try to reproduce the crash and send a reference to this discussion with it. Please bear with me if it takes some day to send it. I will also reply here to notify you when I send the crash report.

    Chris

  3. Hello,

recently I bought the latest version of Storyist. Sadly it crashed on me on this occasions:

    1) Open a Character sheet and filled in Information

    2) Open a Scene sheet and filled in Information

    3) Exporting a manuscript to epub and pdf.

To 1) and 2): I only used the standard templates that come with Storyist.

I had no other programs running. I used the latest version of Storyist on a MacBook Air with Big Sur (latest version of Big Sur).

I send crash reports to you.

Unfortunatly, I can't use Storyist as long when it crash in the above situations every time I use it.

    Chris

  4. Hello,

I’m wondering if there is a way to create a section sheet automatically when I create a new section in my novel. Is this possible? I couldn’t figure it out so far.

It would be nice if this section sheet is automatically linked to the new section.

So far it’s a bit tedious to plot my novel in the outline view and then add manually section sheets. The same with sheets for plot points, but these are only few so I can manage them manually.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

  5. Good morning 🙂,

in one of the videos for storyist on Youtube I saw the ability to give the paper background not only a colour but also a pattern like a piece of paper. In my version of storyist 4 (it’s the actual version but I can’t remember the number in the moment) on my macbook air with Big Sur, I have only the option to change the colour.

I searched the forum bit didn’t find an answer. Is the option gone in storyist 4 or do I miss something? I think the videos are for storyist 3.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Have a nice day!

  6. Hello,

my name is Chris. I recently decided to buy storyist after trying out some other programs . Mostly because I like to work on my Macbook and my Ipad. I love the seamless synchronisation between the two.

I also like that storyist gives me all the tools I need to write and export without a lot of other options I don’t need.

    Have a nice day!
