Managing Literary Elements

I see no mention of organized ways to manage basic literary elements such as symbol, metaphor, theme. Are there well known workarounds for this in the story sheets or collections?

I normally use either the Notebook (perhaps in a specialized note group) or a customized field in the section sheets for such elements. Another option would be to set up a separate collection for, say, Theme. For me, the choice would depend on how prevalent the element is and whether it's easier to access it in one place (a note, say, for metaphors) or to watch it develop over time, as with a theme.

 

If you need help setting up any of the options, please post again, and someone will walk you through--or, in the case of custom fields--point you to instructions for the process.

 

You can also repurpose existing elements such as plot points or character development points if you don't need them for their intended tasks.
