K.L. Neidecker
Hey all. I am new to Storyist, and am wondering if there is any way to export to ebook without including the # symbol. It's all fine and dandy using # to denote a section or scene break, but it doesn't look great in an ebook. Now, Sigel and Calibre and other editors can be used to remove that, of course, but I was wondering if I was somehow missing some export option or toggle that simply changed those to something else (like some kind of break or maybe another symbol). If not, it could be handy to at least allow someone to specify a symbol or maybe a PNG to be used instead for export, just to avoid having to do a massive search-and-replace later. Thanks for any help!
marguerite
Hi, K.L., and welcome to the forums The process hasn't changed substantially in recent years. You can find instructions at http://storyist.invisionzone.com/index.php/topic/1938-exporting-book-for-self-publication/ and http://storyist.invisionzone.com/index.php/topic/2807-section-breaks-are-appearing-in-exported-epub-file/, among other threads. K.L. Neidecker
Groovy. I figured as much. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to have a checkbox or whatever to not export the #, or replace it on export with your symbol of choice, but it isn't a big deal. Thanks for the quick response.
