Dave Strom
I wanted a split screen display for iPad Storyist. I searched and googled, but was told nuh uh, no Storyist split screen. For many years, I have used the iPad Split View at open mics where I use the 2-app Split View on my iPad to read/perform my Storyist story in one view, and play Music (plugging my iPad into the sound system) in the other view. And later, it hit me: why not open Storyist twice at the same time? I opened Storyist twice in the 2-app Split View. I opened the same manuscript in both views. And thus I could easily view, cut and paste, and edit different sections of the same document. Edits in one view (of course) show up in the other view. So simple that I thought, "Well, duh!" I use an 11-inch M2 iPad Pro. Yes, the text gets very tiny when I use Split View with Storyist, but I can still read it (I have good blended bifocal glasses). One more thing: a Bluetooth mouse makes selecting, sutting, and pasting large sections of text much easier. Nice for the novel-in-progress. (I will also practice select-copy-cut-paste with my Apple Pencil, although I like my mouse better for that. So far.)
