switching screens

Hello again,

 

I have two screens open.

 

Project screen on left

Text screen on right.

 

I'm working in the text screen and i create a new character (for example) and I want to add that character to the character list. So, i go over to the project screen and hit the + sign at bottom and add the character.

 

Now, How can i do this without losing my place in the text screen? What happens is that it goes back to the beginning of the project. So, I have to scroll to where I was originally.

Easiest way is to set a bookmark before you leave the text screen. (Click in the text, click on the bookmark icon in the toolbar, type a name for the bookmark, hit return.) Then, if you do snap back to the beginning, you can click on the bookmark you just created (stored in Project View, BOOKMARKS), and you'll be back where you started. Delete the bookmark and go back to writing.
