Saving large manuscripts

My NaNoWriMo novel is now at 62000 words. I have noticed now that when Cntl+s saving it takes a bit longer, even hanging for a second or two as the file saves. I have 4 gigs of ram albeit slow ram. THis concerns me as sometimes it feel like the program is going to crash and NOT save my work. Is this normal? Does anyone with much larger manuscripts not have the issue I'm describing?

Hi TAS.

Yes. My large Storyist files save slower. You're not alone.

Yes. I too worry about crashes and so I try to back up frequently. (But god knows I'm not perfect.)

Yes. I think this is normal. (But what do I know.)

It's after 3AM in NYC and I'm going to bed.

Fortunately I have a light Monday.

Hope the post-season game still finds you merry.

- Thoth.
