Man, sometimes it really drags you down. I'm I'm only talking about a short story I keep firing out there.

TAS: I'd like to add one more thing: after a decent interval, resubmit. I hear plenty of stories about the same editor (or house) accepting a manuscript after the third submission, even when nothing has changed. Sometimes it's just timing (the story you read in bed after a good meal reads differently on a crowded subway on your way home after a hectic day at work).

Yeah I'll keep sending it out, sending out both off my novels soon. Actually one is a novella now I guess(?), it's trimmed to 37,000 words.
