Steve E
Greetings folks. It's NaNoWeen, also known as NaNoWriMo Eve. It is the time we go door-to-door, in disguise, to beg for candy to sustain us during our writing frenzy in the month of November. This ancient tradition dates back to Sparta and the Peloponnesian War (431 BC - 404 BC) when Spartan warriors, disguised as goats, would sneak into Athens to steal their candy and then skip home to write about it. The custom has evolved somewhat since then, taking some interesting turns throughout time. But perhaps I'll save that for my novel. Historically yours, - Thoth. Steve E
You wouldn't believe my haul. I'd make a five year old jealous. Oh? Do tell. Personally, I've forgone the big intimate grownup parties this year for some early local parties. I've been entertaining the kiddies so my "haul" is more of the leftover candy variety this year. Husband your haul, Calli. Remember that it has to last you all of November. (Or you could just go out and buy more.) Happy NaNoWeen - Thoth.
